What a great day! Lots of volunteers turned up; about 12 from BTCV plus another dozen or more from the local community.Despite some heavy rain, thunder and lightning everyone had a great time and lots of tasks achieved….- Woodland paths cleared of brambles and saplings cut down to prevent overgrowth- Flower bed by pavilion cleared and some Hawthorn and Plum bare root saplings planted along the fence. Will soon be planting a couple of trees plus shrubs and a lavender hedge along the edge.- Felled tree removed from the triangle.- Path around the old pond completely cleared and looks great. A bit uneven and some stones missing but looks much better.- Planted Hawthorn hedging next to badger sett to shield this and prevent people from falling in.Our thanks to every one. Special thanks to Simon and the team of volunteers from BTCV. Feedback was very positive and everyone said that they would love to come again.Francis
